The Palladian - Who We Are
The faces behind the Palladian are those of Bob Weirauch, John Noel and John Dudley - three people who've been around Wausau a long time. Born and raised here, each of us started careers and families in Wausau. And we're committed to the revitalization of downtown Wausau. We formed City Center Investors III, LLC to focus on making Wausau a vibrant, prosperous city with diverse retail, entertainment and cultural centers.
While looking for ways to expand The Jefferson Street Inn and the City Grill Banquet facility, we realized the downtown area lacked something - a home for those of us who prefer a more urban residence. Thus, the Palladian was born - a unique architectural structure providing all the amenities of home with close proximity to the cultural and social events of a burgeoning city.
While we wanted the Palladian to turn the heads of those strolling through beautiful downtown Wausau, we wanted to be certain to blend with our environment. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. In keeping with the architectural style of historic Third Street, The Palladian is built with classical lines. The name is, quite simply, drawn from the style of windows that grace the first two floors of the building - triumphant arches above soaring windows that give occupants fine views in all directions.
